xbox 360 soft mod? has it been cracked?
A hardware hacker going by the name of "TheSpecialist" has apparently found a backdoor to the Xbox 360 that will fool the system into booting up with a backup 360 disc.
His claim is based on observations that he has made of the system's internal debug system. If he is correct, this will be the first crack of the drm fortress that the 360 is, and to make matters even more interesting, it will be a "soft mod" that doesn't require physical modifications to the motherboard.
if "TheSpecialist" is correct, this is a backdoor that MS can easily shut down with a software update patch.
