Cingular convinces bands to release songs as ringtones before singles
engadget has a crazy story about how cingular has cut deals with artists such as coldplay to release their next single, as a ringtone, 6 days prior to their radio release.
im skeptical on this one, as im not sure how successful this will be, as people want the ringtones after the song is a hit. ringtones are all about expression, etc.
whatever, cingular's got cash..
