mobile gaming to break $1 billion
the apac marketplace continues to generate revenue for mobile handset gaming and trend watchers in the mobile space are predicting $1 billion in total 2004 revenue for downloadable games for mobile phone handsets.
according to gamesindustry.biz, the mobile phone marketplace will generate $1 billion in revenue by the end of 2004. a majority of this revenue will come from japan and korea which already out "download" the north america marketplace by about 4-1. analysts predict big things from the US marketplace because the available libraries for download will be much bigger than the network offerings in other markets including asia/pacific.
