is the n-gage dead?

a report from the register claims that rumors surfacing about the death of the n-gage mobile gaming platform coming to an end are simply not true.

"Nokia has no intention of shutting down the N-Gage,' he said. 'We are completely committed to the platform. It's not going anywhere.'"

apparently the recent cut backs in the nokia r&d labs and the failure of the platform to maintain a category within retail sales tracking measurement tools arent enough to kill a platform that is completely irrelevent to the development and publishing industry.
